Workshop: Reconnect with Your Inner Wisdom and be Inspired by Your Intuition
by Christiane Moeschler

http://www.imaginationclub.org/brussels/learn_how_to_use_your_intuition.php

Brussels: 28th June 2017

Many famous people have said that learning to follow their intuition was key to their success. These people include Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Kim Basinger, Bill Gates and Steven Spielberg just to name a few.

How about you? How can you utilize your inner wisdom to succeed in all areas of life, even in areas where you have been struggling − until now?

Christane Moeschler has been training and coaching people for over 12 years and has come to realise one thing: the biggest reasons for dissatisfaction in our lives is that we pursue the wrong visions or set the wrong goals for ourselves.

She has discovered that most of the people set goals that come from their identity which is made up of our past experiences as well as concepts and assumptions which they have developed about life.  Such goals are either never achieved or, if they are, they do not bring long lasting satisfaction.

But you have a choice. You can choose to use your inner wisdom and intuition to rediscover your unique talents and gifts.

We − and especially you −are all Geniuses when we are connected with our own unique purposes.

Join us at this workshop and learn how you can overcome the limitations of your mind and harness the power of your Intuition.

Christiane has 12 years of experience in delivering Training and Coaching session for multinational companies and organisations around the world.

What she am most passionate about is to share with you powerful tools that enable you to create what you truly love and live a magical life.

Workshop: Echolocation: a Journey into the Non-Visual, Sensorial Mode of Being in the World

By Thomas Tajo

Brussels: 12 April 2017

Echolocation is the method to detect and identify objects and recognise the nature of the environments around us using the acoustic information. What we do is actively produce tongue-clicks. By interpreting the echos that come back from our tongue-clicks we can find out the nature of the environment we are in, and we can detect and identify objects around us with the information contained in the echos.

So using Echolocation as a means to demonstrate the effectiveness and beauty of our non-visual mode of perceiving and interacting with the world I want to seduce you into the non-visual world of the senses and the non-visual mode of being in the world and perceiving and interacting with the world.

About Thomas

Thomas Tajo became blind at the age of 8 or 9, and taught himself to actively echolocate. For the last few years he has been travelling across Europe giving echolocation and mobility lessons and workshops to organisations for the blind, families of blind children, and to both individuals and groups of blind children and adults. He teaches in English and Dutch.

Thomas has participated in echolocation research at various universities in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and England, and has worked together with other noted echolocation trainers such as Daniel Kish, Tom Dewitte and Juan Ruiz.

He also gives talks and workshops to researchers and artists who are interested in experiencing and exploring the world non-visually, teaching them how to explore their environment through the use of echolocation and other non-visual senses.

Workshop: Co-Creation – A Quick Taster

By Hans Begeer and Alvito de Souza

Brussels: 22 March 2017

Today we live in an increasingly complex world. A planet that has moved from global interconnectedness to an ever shifting and entangled worldwide habitat. The phenomenal rate of movement of peoples and ideas has engendered an unprecedented pace of innovations, advancements and, yes, conflicts.

We struggle to cope in our organisational and societal structures designed for the fleeting reassurance of stability. But how can we manage when the assurance of constancy is replaced by the reality of unrelenting change?

Coming to grips with the complex issues of our time requires a ‘whole system approach” where all who have a stake in the issue are involved from the start. One such approach is co-creation.

Co-creation is trending as many organizations search for ways to stay imaginative and relevant (or even just survive) in today’s uncertainties. Despite the positive buzz about co-creation, the feedback is that it can be challenging to implement effectively. Co-creation is not a quick fix. It is an all engaging process which needs to be meticulously planned and given adequate time and resources (energy) to set up, initiate and sustain.

By attending this taster workshop you will be able to:

  • Discover the 6 principles of co-creation
  • Share situations and limits to co-creation
  • Find out about conditions to successfully apply co-creation
  • Explore self organizing approaches to management
  • Feel what it means to apply co-creation

The workshop is based on the book, “Co-creation… 13 Myths Debunked”, (Begeer Hans & Vanleke Lesley. (2016), Lannoo Publishers nv) which will also be available.

About Hans

Hans Begeer, a management consultant, facilitator and coach. He is interested in managing differently and has been using his insights in an international practise for more than 30 years. He is also co author of the book on Co-creation

About Alvito

Alvito de Souza is a former Secretary General of the World Catholic Association for Communication. His interest is in communication for development (C4D) and grass-root participation. He has a background in community media, peacebuilding and human security.

Creating Your Future History: D-Day Lessons for Every Day by Erin Meyer

How can an event that happened 70+ years ago teach you valuable lessons for today’s unpredictable world? To thrive in the coming years you must prepare for an unknown future using skills and technology not yet developed to meet challenges not yet defined. Sound impossible? The Allied landing in Normandy, France on June 6, 1944 exemplifies how to achieve something when nothing in your current circumstances says it’s possible.

The past is a roadmap to navigate today.

About Erin

Weaving together degrees in WWII history and cultural anthropology with visual and spoken arts, I use the past as a portal to address today’s challenges in innovation and leadership. Currently creating a visual art book on the lessons of D-Day, I speak on platforms around the world about how our understanding of the past influences the future history we create today.

Tom Meyers

Reaset or not to reaset that is the question? by Tom Meyers

When humankind first walked this earth it adapted itself to the environment until it saw the light and started to adapt its environment to its needs. However, in recent years technology has allowed us to modify our environment so effectively that our environment changes at a higher rate than we can cope with. The engendered conflict is the main cause of stress and 90% of all diseases.

The return of ease is now or never, your life depends on it.

About Tom

Tom is an osteopath, stress coach and visionary in the field of health and wellbeing. He runs a private health practice and gives presentations on the topic of ‘Stress’ and workshops on the ‘Reaset Approach’, a novel manual body-mind and educational health approach he developed. Currently he’s writing his first self-help book in which he interlaces soul-purpose, personal development, health and healing into a compelling self-help guide to thrive.  http://www.biomotions.com/Reaset.html

The Surprising Links Between Creativity and Dishonesty

Recent research has shown that there is a fascinating two way link between creativity and dishonesty. Understanding this link can help you think more creatively. In this entertaining and informative talk, Jeffrey will explain the link and how you can legitimately be dishonest when you want to be creative.

Workshop: Jokes as a Toolkit for Lateral Thinking

By Ingrid Kreksch

Brussels: 8 February 2017

The marriage of poor Kim Kardashian
Was krushed like a kar in a krashian.
Her Kris kried, “Not fair!
Why kan’t I keep my share?”
But Kardashian fell klean outa fashian.

—Salman Rushdie

Lateral thinking was defined by Edward De Bono as a way of solving problems through an indirect and creative approach, using reasoning that is not immediately obvious and involving ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic.

A joke is a display of humour in which words are used within a specific and well-defined narrative structure to make people laugh. It takes the form of a story, usually with dialogue, and ends in a punch line. It is in the punch line that the audience becomes aware that the story contains a second, conflicting meaning.

In this workshop we are going to explore jokes as a means to decode reasoning that is not immediately obvious. After exploring the main concepts and theoretical background of jokes, we will analyze a number of them to see how they function. We will further try to write a limmerick, a form of poetry in five lines, which is sometimes obscene with humorous intent (like the one above by Salman Rushdie).

Please bring along 2-3 jokes that made you laugh, suspend your disbelief and political correctness, and let’s exercise our zygomatic muscles.

About Ingrid Kreksch

Ingrid Kreksch has been working in the area of training for the last twelve years. She has also written a crime novella now available at Amazon (Ingrid K. Westermann, New Age of Treason). Her interest in jokes dates back to the time when she lived in Venezuela, where they are a basic ingredient of daily life.

Workshop: Challenging Limiting Beliefs

By Ana Escarpenter

Brussels: 22 February 2017

How much time do you spend questioning, ruminating in your thoughts, being judgmental for yourself or others?
What if all these thoughts were not true?

Thanks to ‘The Work’, we break down these stressful, deceptive thoughts that are at the origin of all our sufferings and we free ourselves from the grip of our conditioning and return to our true nature: joy, peace, love and freedom.

It is a simple and radical process of questioning our thoughts.

This workshop aims to make you discover “The Work” of Byron Katie, to accompany you in the practice and to share, if you want to do so. It is addressed to every person who wishes to put an end to his/her suffering by finding the truth that resides in it.

Let yourself be guided by Byron Katie’s “Work”.

About Ana

Observing since her youngest age, Ana Escarpenter has always been curious and in search of learning. Life brought her on a journey to the discovery of other languages and cultures.

Her aspiration to become a better person opened the doors of personal development. She was trained in multiple approaches: psychogenealogy, art therapy, MBTI, enneagram, EFT, numerology, family constellations, AT transactional analysis, NVC non violent communication, sociocracy, stress management, sophrology, PHR, NLP neurolinguistic programming, Yoga kundalini, the work of Byron Katie, and finally coaching.

Often everything begins with oneself and then along the way we move towards the others. For Ana, it is in this sharing that she finds happiness.

Ana is looking forward to meeting you all and sharing with you this simple technique that will help you see yourself and the other differently.

The Serious Waffle Sessions

The Imagination Club’s Serious Waffle Sessions are a new and, we believe, exciting addition to our activities.

What is a Serious Waffle Session?

In an Imagination Club Serious Waffle Session, three expert speakers each have 15 minutes to teach you something (and ideally three things) new about the evening’s theme. Their talks promise to be lively, informative and fun. Speakers range from international keynote speakers to enthusiasts, but each is excited about her or his subject and is determined to enlighten you.

In keeping with the Imagination Club’s mission of encouraging you to try out new things, we encourage our speakers to use the sessions to try out new ways of presenting, speaking and interacting with the audience.

What People Are Saying

“This was a great experience, surrounded by amazing people and 3 extraordinary speaker. I am very impressed.”
~ John Di Stefano, Founder Entrepreneur Academy Europe.

“I very much enjoyed my time with the group last night and I thank you both for your consistent pursuit in bringing thought-provoking content to a curious audience.”
Chalks Corriette, European President, People to People International absl

Friendly Drink and Snack and Meet Cool People

Every session will start with a drink and a snack and an opportunity to meet cool people like yourself (we don’t like the word ‘networking’ – but it will be a lot like networking, but more fun and without the pressure to network). After the talks you can have another drink, snack and chat.

Sascha Siegmund

Three Happiness Myths that Prevent You From Being Happy by Sascha Siegmund

Happiness is easy! – We know it from the media: a suburban house, 2.2 kids, a fancy upper class car and some regular shopping is all we need. Surprisingly, this seems to work less and less, as burn-out rates increase while an increasing number of people try to escape the treadmill of our society. It is time to have a closer look at Happiness and demystify some of the modern legends around it.

About Sascha

As an international spirit, Sascha has lived in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and China. After more than a decade in financial corporates and NGOs, he is now establishing himself as Coach, Trainer and Speaker. Being a discoverer of the inside and outside world he is passionate about mindfulness, meditation, yoga, in-and outdoor sports and personal development. Purpose, connection and well-being are the centerpiece of his own life and in his work with others.

Workshop: A New Social Media Network

By Bruno Duarte

Brussels: 25 January 2017

Our world is changing. We lead busy lives. Work keeps us busy even at home. The news on TV and the internet takes us out to see the world without our leaving our couches. Yet there’s so much around us that we may be missing: how can we connect with those that live around us, our neighbours?

In this workshop, we shall find the problems and conceive solutions for the oldest social media of humankind: our own neighbourhood community. We’ll find out what we must do to communicate more and better with our neighbours, why we should do so and what will change if we start talking more with those who live around us. But beware: some participants might be a little less enthusiastic than most…

Participants to this session shall benefit from time together reflecting on how to improve their daily lives and learning a European method of problem solving that is applied consistently to developing communities around the world.

About Bruno Duarte

Bruno Duarte has studied and worked in communication for almost fifteen year. He has also worked in sales, marketing, corporate communication, commercial operations, community development and now institutional communications as a contractor to the European Commission’s Directorate General for Development and Cooperation (DG DEVCO). Bruno believes communication makes a better world – and even has a good story on how a couple of phone calls created fifty jobs – ask him about it !
